Denise Maduli-Williams is the winner of the new Ron Lee Technology award and has been teaching ESOL and English for more than two decades. She joined the Peace Corps and taught English in Botswana. She taught in New York City public schools. For the past 15 years she has taught ESOL and developmental English in community colleges in Chicago and San Francisco. She is now an assistant professor of ESOL and English at San Diego Miramar College.
